Book Club Rules

In my quest to become a writer, I’ve tasked myself with increasing my read load with one book a month. I know, this doesn’t sound like much. But when you have a full-time job, two kids, soccer practices, dinners to cook, and a dog to walk, you wonder how you have time to stand upright let alone read a book.

Every month, I will feature a new book I’m reading and give anyone a chance to read along with me, or weigh in if my choice is already a resident in your personal library (helpful hints like, “For the love of God, put that book down,” or, “Good choice; the story inspired me,” to, “Zzzzzzz” are welcome). From time to time, I’ll incorporate a give-a-way to anyone brave enough to take this journey with me through a series of quiz questions pertaining to the featured book. Do I know what the heck I’m doing? No. But I must encourage myself to hone my craft, or else suffer the piteous slings and arrows of self loathing and self doubt. It’s a small dingy I’m looking to turn into a yacht. Come board my humble Titanic ship, won’t you?

Below are books I haven’t read yet, but am in the process (or in the midst, in some cases). Each picture hosts a link to purchase your very own copy through Amazon. You are, in no way, obligated to make your literary purchase through this fine organization. I’m not getting paid to do this, and I have, in no way, been bribed… although, now that I think about it, a Kindle sure would be nice…

Anyways, I’ll give greater detail, and sometimes rules to my fantabulous give-a-ways (also sponsored by Amazon and their wondrous Amazon Associates program), in my Book Club category.

Stay tuned, and good luck!
