I must say I am highly apalled by the cartoon I saw today on the Page Six portion of the New York Post today (2/18/09) How dare the NY Post publish something like this? Anyone reading this cartoon can clearly see that the NY post is calling President Barack Obama and African Americans gorillas!!!! As an African American, I am so tired of police officers using us as target practice and now they make a parody of it?? What message is the NY Post communicating to African American’s in this country? Is that how they see us…as gorillas? Thank God I never spent a dime on that low class newspaper!

And this is considered “satire”. I’m sure the media have their opinions of the President, but this is a little much (and a lotta scary).

This is not what America deems comical and particular what Black america think about your comic. Shame on the artist for thinking such a caption would be comical.Shame on New York Post for thinking this is appropiate to print.
SHAME… I am embarrassed for you because it certainly embarrassed me.

Anyone who can chuckle at this is as equally disturbed as Sean Delonas!

It is very sad that in this day in age that people are still thinking in this way. If we are to move on in america with its dirty past with black people. we need to hold the editor of the Post newspaper or any others accountable for even letting such trash be printed. A black man could have held the office of the United States of America a long time ago if permitted, We build it with the swear of our black men backs. More on, already with the monkey jokes because it’s not working anymore. We are a proud people and will, always stay a proud people. God help anybody that thinks that they can keep strong blessed people down.
